How to Spend Bitcoin on Cash App

Cash App is a popular mobile payment service that allows you to send and receive money, buy and sell stocks, and purchase Bitcoin. But did you know that you can also use Cash App to spend your Bitcoin at merchants that accept it? In this blog post, we will show you how to do that in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Buy Bitcoin on Cash App

If you don’t have any Bitcoin in your Cash App balance, you will need to buy some first. To do that, follow these steps:

• Open Cash App and tap on the Investing tab (the one with the stock icon).
• Tap on Bitcoin and then tap on Buy.
• Enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to buy in USD or BTC and then tap Next.
• Confirm your purchase and enter your PIN or Touch ID if prompted.
• Wait for your purchase to complete. You can check the status of your transaction in the Activity tab.

Step 2: Enable Bitcoin Withdrawals on Cash App

Before you can spend your Bitcoin on Cash App, you will need to enable Bitcoin withdrawals. This is a security feature that requires you to verify your identity and link an external wallet. To do that, follow these steps:

• Open Cash App and tap on the Banking tab (the one with the dollar icon).
• Tap on Bitcoin and then tap on Enable Withdrawals and Transfers.
• Follow the instructions to verify your identity. You will need to provide your full name, date of birth, last four digits of your Social Security number, and a photo of your ID.
• Once verified, tap on Transfer Out and then tap on Confirm.
• Scan the QR code of your external wallet or enter the wallet address manually.
• Tap on Confirm again and enter your PIN or Touch ID if prompted.
• Wait for the transfer to complete. You can check the status of your transaction in the Activity tab.

Step 3: Spend Your Bitcoin on Cash App

Now that you have enabled Bitcoin withdrawals and transferred some Bitcoin to your external wallet, you are ready to spend it on Cash App. To do that, follow these steps:

1. Open Cash App and tap on the Pay tab (the one with the dollar icon).
2. Enter the amount of money you want to spend in USD or BTC and then tap Pay.
3. Enter the recipient’s name, $Cashtag, phone number, or email address and then tap Next.
4. Tap on the Bitcoin icon at the bottom of the screen and then tap Next.
5. Review your payment details and then tap Confirm & Pay.
6. Enter your PIN or Touch ID if prompted and wait for your payment to complete. You can check the status of your transaction in the Activity tab.
